The BAR 17 Family
Jack & Linda Linder have lived in Lampasas since 1998 when they purchased Four Jacks Ranch (located about 5 miles outside of town on Hwy 190 East). At that time Jack & Linda were very active traveling and promoting their financial business with World Financial Group and Transamerica. Jack has field offices all over the United States and Canada but was looking for a unique place with an Authentic Texas feel to use while conducting business at HOME.
Jack purchased the building on the square in 2009 and since that time has hosted many retreats with hundreds of people from all over the world on the upper level while leasing the bottom level to a variety of Restaurants.
After the recent closing of the County Seat, Jack decided to renovate the building and bring it back to its former beauty turning it into an Event Center so that the members of the community could enjoy the Square as he and Linda have over the years.
Jack & Linda also own Bar 17 Arena (North of town on hwy 281) which they have revitalized with the same vision...to make both beautiful properties available to the community at affordable prices.
Many people ask how BAR 17 got its name...17 was always Jack's lucky number. It was the number he proudly wore on his high school football jersey in Kenedy Texas, the number also worn by his father, Royce Linder. Jack & Linda have 17 Grandchildren (pictured below) and that made Bar 17 feel like a perfect fit.
Both properties are family owned and operated. Bar 17 On the Square is managed by John Williams (son-in-law). John & Jo Williams (daughter) reside in Lampasas with their Son, Clayton Bever a Junior at Lampasas High School. Bar 17 Arena is managed by Mike Linder (son), who lives in Marble Falls with his wife Teresa and their Son, Brock a Senior at Marble Falls High School.
We feel extremely blessed to call Texas home, and are proud of the Legacy created by Jack & Linda. We hope you will build on the memories we have created with our family at these beautiful venues, and make some wonderful memories of your own.
